My earlier post about toddler dungarees with free pattern turned out to have been well-timed, as a week later episode 4 of The Great British Sewing Bee featured a challenge making kids dungarees. The Sewing Directory then included my tutorial in their article about the show, directing a fair bit of traffic in my direction. WordPress stats lets you know how many people download something (which turns out to have been a lot), but of course it can’t tell you how many people end up using it. As it always turns out being much more work than you think converting a self-drafted pattern into something that will print on A4 and that other people can understand I was delighted when Kay sent me some pictures of a pair of the dungarees she made for her son in a cute bug jar print fabric.
This lovely version in printed denim (with matching apple buttons!) was made by Indre in Germany
You can also see a version made from an old pair of men’s jeans at http://longliveliving.blogspot.co.uk
And version made from patterned needlecord on Beth’s blog at http://afterdarksewing.wordpress.com
If anyone else uses the pattern please let me know as I’d love to see pictures.
I made the Dungarees. How do you send a photo?
