A Unicorn Nore dress

Nore dress in unicorn fabric

Short sleeved weather has finally arrived! To celebrate (and fill the short-sleeved garment hole in my youngest’s wardrobe) I made a unicorn print dress.

I used the Nore Dress pattern from Compagnie M, which has loads of different options for colour blocking and (what my daughter describes as) ‘secret pockets’. Nore dress in Unicorn print fabric from Mauds fabric findsLike most knit patterns it is simple enough to sew although those corners can’t be rushed (plenty of opportunity for puckering). I used the short-sleeved version with pockets and a back that matches the front, and chose to contrast the unicorn fabric with some aqua jersey.

The main fabric is a W Collection cotton jersey from Maud’s Fabric Finds who have a great range of quality jersey prints.
